ZIP lookups use data/zips.json (Census 2020 ZCTA → congressional-district crosswalk) to pin your U.S. House member. If your ZIP spans multiple districts we will show all applicable House reps. State-legislative districts are not yet resolved by ZIP — that crosswalk is the next upgrade.
Category templates are drafted in plain, respectful language that a rep's intake staff can read in under 60 seconds. You can edit every word before you send.
Letter tips: contact forms generally accept plain text. Keep it under 1 page. Always include your full name and city in the form fields so the staff knows you are a constituent. Following up after 1–2 weeks with a phone call gets more attention than a single email.
