How this map is computed
- Each person's score is the same 0–100 headline number shown on their profile page (percentage of their dynamic max, including any foreign-influence adjustments). The state's shade is the plain average of those numbers.
- Only evidence-scored office-holders count — people whose scorecard carries an individually researched or verified-claim record. Party-default scaffolding never enters an average, so missing research does not drag a state down. Scored (n) is how many people are in the average; Sitting is how many sitting office-holders we hold a record for.
- State legislature = sitting state representatives, senators, delegates and assembly members. Governors and other statewide officials are not included. D.C. has no state legislature.
- Congressional delegation = the state's sitting U.S. Senators and U.S. Representatives. Non-voting delegates (including D.C.'s) are not included.
- A state with fewer than 3 scored office-holders in a view is shown grey (not enough scored). Local officials are not part of either view.
