On high-cortisol days (back-to-back client sessions + C5iSR issues + family stress), ashwagandha in the evening is a legitimate cortisol reset. The science is strong. The daily abuse of it is what I want to warn you against.

My Protocol

NotesHigh-stress days only, never daily, never stacked with Tongkat Ali or Maca. Evening use only. This one has a hard warning: daily ashwagandha can blunt libido and dopamine drive over time. It works — but only if you cycle it correctly.

Multiple RCTs for cortisol reduction, stress, and sleep quality. The concern with daily use is blunted dopaminergic drive and reduced libido — this is anecdotally reported and physiologically plausible. PM dosing reduces cortisol without disrupting AM hormone pulsatility. KSM-66 only — other extracts have inconsistent evidence.
