Foreign-lobby money compromises America First. The U.S. has no formal mutual-defense treaty with Israel; AIPAC operates a super-PAC (United Democracy Project) that spent over $100M during the 2024 cycle on independent expenditures against U.S. candidates who criticize Israeli government policy. A candidate who has accepted that money has, in their own revealed preference, accepted a foreign-policy filter on their congressional vote. The same logic covers China-linked donations, where federal law also prohibits CCP members from contributing.

For every candidate with a documented donor record, two things happen: (1) the specific category question is marked False (foreign_policy_restraint[q4] for AIPAC + China; economic_stewardship[q5] — the WEF/ESG/Davos capture question — for Soros-network donors), so the per-category subscore drops by 2 points; (2) an additional dollar-bracket adjustment is applied to the total, making the penalty proportional to the magnitude of the funding. Both impacts are visible on this page.

Official Profile

Education: B.A. Philosophy & Comparative Literature, UC Berkeley; J.D., NYU School of Law
Background: Iranian-American (immigrated as a child); former Legal Director, Mid-Atlantic Innocence Project; former DC Public Defender Service (Special Litigation & Parole Divisions); first Iranian-American elected as a chief prosecutor in the U.S. Elected 2019 (defeated incumbent Theo Stamos in primary), reelected 2023 (defeated Josh Katcher 55.98–44.02 in Democratic primary; unopposed general); current term ends Jan 2028.
Added 2026-05-14 as part of foreign-influence-v2 expansion. Party-default Democrat baseline; refine with primary-source review. [2026-06 RESOLUTE refinement] Roster verified: sitting Commonwealth's Attorney for Arlington County + City of Falls Church through Jan 2028; subpoenaed by House Judiciary (3/20/2026) and named in formal sanctuary-policy investigation (5/4/2026). HARD evidence: (1) October 2020 — co-signed prosecutor joint statement pledging not to enforce abortion-criminalization laws (with Krasner, Boudin, Mosby, Rollins, Descano); (2) June 2025 Instagram: 'Reproductive freedom is FREEDOM. Proud to support REPRO Rising Virginia' — sanctity_of_life FALSE on both cells; (3) public_justice — declined to prosecute simple marijuana, formally ended cash bail, no-death-penalty pledge, established VA's first Conviction Review Unit + 'Heart of Safety' restorative-justice program, never certifies juveniles as adults, dismissed firearms charges in 2021 Reyes attempted-CVS-robbery case (Reyes later charged Dec 2024 with second-degree murder of Iman Gay at Pentagon City) — affirmative SOROS-funded ($621K+ Justice & Public Safety PAC in 2019) progressive prosecutor; (4) border — 2019 pledge of NO cooperation agreement with ICE, FAFO 'Fight Against Federal Overreach' coalition (Jan 2026) pledging to prosecute federal immigration officers, named cases Cabrera + Garcia Moran cited by House Judiciary as Arlington sanctuary failures. NO EVIDENCE on biblical_marriage individually (one restorative-justice Pride-flag-theft case in Dec 2024 is institutional posture only), family_child_sovereignty, christian_liberty, economic_stewardship, election_integrity, refuse_state_overreach (her resistance is to right-leaning AG/federal oversight, not to unconstitutional state mandates in the rubric sense — left null), self_defense (concealed-carry / red-flag positions). Religion: no church/denomination publicly identified.
