As Acting Attorney General beginning April 2026, Blanche directed the Justice Department to aggressively prosecute noncitizens who illegally vote in federal elections, publicly declaring: 'This administration will not tolerate aliens who attempt to vote in our elections when they know they are not eligible' and 'This Justice Department will use every authority to protect the integrity of U.S. elections, including by prosecuting any noncitizens who lie about their legal status in an attempt to vote.' The DOJ's Election Integrity Task Force, operating under Blanche's leadership, charged multiple aliens in the District of New Jersey with illegally voting in federal elections and making false statements while applying for U.S. citizenship — a direct enforcement action against foreign influence over American ballots consistent with the rubric's standard of preserving election integrity against fraudulent participation.
Within hours of being sworn in as Deputy Attorney General in January 2025, Blanche issued a memorandum shifting DOJ hiring to the Mexico-U.S. border to bolster Trump's mass-deportation campaign. He directed the reorganization of Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces and Project Safe Neighborhoods to prioritize immigration enforcement and removal of undocumented immigrants — a mandatory-deportation posture matching the rubric's standard.
Signed the 'Operation Take Back America' memorandum as Deputy AG, directing all U.S. Attorneys and DOJ components to prosecute officials who obstruct federal immigration enforcement in sanctuary jurisdictions. The DOJ filed 14+ lawsuits against sanctuary cities (New York, Minnesota, Los Angeles, Boston, New Jersey, and others), making Blanche a leading federal enforcer against sanctuary obstruction.
