Arkansas: Expanded Right to Keep and Bear Arms

This amendment would alter the portion of the Arkansas Constitution that echoes the federal Second Amendment. The expanded language would clarify that the right to keep and bear arms extends to 'the possession and use of' ammunition, firearm accessories, and firearm components.

This measure is designed to preemptively protect against future attempts to restrict access to ammunition or accessories as an indirect means of limiting firearm ownership. Requires a simple majority to pass, effective January 1, 2027.
