Bow & Arrow
Studios · Fredericksburg, VA

Photography & hospitality — made with care, rooted in the historic heart of Virginia.

A family-run studio and short-term rental collection named for the arrows in a full quiver — the old Psalm our household has lived into for twenty-three years. Maria captures the stories; we host the stays. Both come from the same conviction: that beauty, hospitality, and excellence are a form of worship.

Maria's Studio

Weddings, families, legacy portraits — Maria's lens has told the stories of Virginia households for over a decade. Her approach is unhurried and prayerful: she's not chasing the perfect frame so much as listening for the one that already belongs to the family she's photographing. Sessions run out of our downtown studio or on-location at the place that matters to you.

Psalm 127:4–5

"Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, so are the children of one's youth."

Bow & Arrow takes its name from that psalm — the one that keeps our household honest about why we work. Our three children are the arrows; the studios, the properties, and the ministry are simply the bow. Every stay booked, every portrait commissioned, every dollar that flows through this business funds another year of homeschool, another missions trip, another tuition payment, and another shift for U.S.M.C. Ministries.

If you stay with us or hire Maria, you're not just transacting — you're resourcing a household trying to raise three arrows straight.

"Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another… given to hospitality." — Romans 12:10, 13 (NKJV)
